R.U. Outside’s New “Bill
Townsend Boot"

Posted: 7/31/2006

R.U. Outside has been offering innovative pac boots for snowmobiling since 1995, when they introduced TrukkE to the market. Then came R.U. Outside Bridger Boots for several years, followed by the recent Renegade Boots. Each boot has been popular, lightweight, comfortable, easy on-off and warm.
For 2006, R.U. Outside is proud to offer its most advanced boot yet, with a singular name: the Bill Townsend Boot. Named after the late beloved snowmobile legend, an icon is his cowboy hat, Bill was the real deal. He was a favorite in the snowmobile industry and known across North America: a representative with the Wyoming State Snowmobile Association; a founder of the Jackson Hillclimb; a guide for decades in the Yellowstone, Togwotee and Jackson areas; a one-of-a-kind human being who always seemed to be smiling, and whose handshake truly had meaning. When we learned of his passing on Dec. 26, 2005, we vowed that he would live on through R.U. Outside.

Bill was always involved in R.U. Outside product development, and worked the R.U. Outside booth at many trade shows. He was especially involved with input on R.U. Outside boot design, and his hand is clearly seen in this new Bill Townsend Boot:
