2008 ACSA Snowmobile Dealer of the Year

From the first day of business in 1969, Nielson Enterprises pledged to the local clubs to support them to the best of their ability. They are the cornerstone in the snowmobile community that allows them to be the liaison between the clubs, law enforcement, DNR and the manufacturers.


Their community involvement has included parades, supporting clubs, local government, youth programs, and a racing program.


They have been instrumental in developing winter wear, club membership drives, safety classes, demo rides, and the introduction of thousands to this great recreation.



2008 ACSA Snowmobile Family OF the year
Hank and Kim Moon-Armbrecht
Crystal Lake, Illinois


Hank and Kim are members of six clubs and two state associations. They have been active in organized snowmobiling for over 40 years.


They have been officers and directors of their clubs as well as the Illinois Association of Snowmobile Clubs.


They have always been willing participants in fundraisers for the clubs, regions, and the state association. They have sold raffle tickets for about every item imaginable for the club, and the community.


This family not only loves to ride together they plan trips throughout the season for their clubs and friends. They wear snowmobile clothing no matter where they go.


They love snowmobiling so much that their wedding was complete with snowmobile decorations, lights and a cake with snowmobiles on top.




2008 ACSA Snowmobiler of the Year
Jim Duke

Jim Duke of Christmas, Michigan was selected the American Council of Snowmobile Associations (ACSA) "Snowmobiler of the Year". This prestigious award was given at the annual International Snowmobile Congress in Boise, Idaho on June 15, 2008. Jim was nominated by the Michigan Snowmobile Association (MSA) and selected by his peer's -- the best of the best of all 26 snowmobile states!


Jim has been snowmobiling for over 30 years and is a member of 2 clubs. He was the founder of his first club, the Snomads Snofari Club, in Oxford, MI. He has been an active volunteer for over 28 years to the Michigan Snowmobile Association. He has been a director, membership chair, PR chair, VP, and President of MSA. Jim has also been Vice President, President of ACSA, and Chairman of the International Snowmobile Council.


Jim is very knowledgeable in all aspects of snowmobiling. He has worked not only with local and state officials but currently has a very good working relationship with the US Forest Service (USFS) and the National Parks Service (NPS) in his local area and Washington DC


Jim is currently on five different committees within the state association, two committees dealing with the DNR and Forest Service, and on two ACSA committees.
